Security For Your Gear
The reinforced nylon clamps not only offer a strong and effective way of attaching your Rod Vault ST rooftop rod carrier unit to the cross members of your roof rack mounting system, but they are also built so you can lock the clamps to your cross members by using a small padlock (not included).
At Denver Outfitters our rooftop rod holders deliver style, performance and the added convenience of being able to rig up your rods the night before your trip, put them in your Rod Vault ST, lock it down and get on the water faster. Or better yet keep your rods and reels ready to go all year long for fishing at a moments notice!
The Rod Vault ST reel housing is manufactured using an insanely tough reinforced nylon polymer with a locking system and protect up to six of your valued mid-size spinning or baitcast reels. Even when open, the housing door does not interfere with vehicle back hatches.
Built tough, the attractive and streamlined Rod Vault ST is made with aircraft grade anodized aluminum for the ultimate in security for your rods up to 8 feet.
A non-abrasive polypropylene liner extends the full vault length eliminating metal-to-metal contact. Rods and guides stay in top working condition.
Installs in Minutes
Fits almost any vehicle with cross members. Reinforced nylon mounting brackets offer a strong and effective way of attaching your Rod Vault ST quickly and easily to your roof rack cross members. The only tools necessary to mount the Rod Vault ST are 1/4”, and 4mm hex or Allen wrenches. We also strongly recommend using the BLUE locktite on the mounting bolts.
The roof rack crossbars to which the Rod Vault ST can be mounted can be up to 3.5” wide and up to 1.5” thick. In addition, the separation between the crossbars should be no less than 27”. Some vehicles will need a “lift kit” (sold separately) since their factory crossbars sit very low. The lift kit allows the Rod Vault ST to be lifted slightly so the reel housing does not hit the roof of the vehicle.
