Here at Denver Outfitters, we love a good fly-fishing video. There’s nothing that gets me quite as pumped to get out on the water, than watching a well done fishing film. Quality can vary a lot though, and there are so many videos out there to wade through. However, there is an avenue to see award winning fly-fishing films and you can even meet like minded fishermen and share your own stories, as well, all you have to do is check out one of these top rated fly-fishing film festivals that tour nation wide.

3. Down The Hatch Fishing Festival

This one has been gaining some steam over the past couple years. Originally, these films sponsored or otherwise supported by Orvis could only be seen during the Orvis Guide Rendezvous that takes place in Missoula, Montana. During 2015, the festival went on the road stopping at Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, and Nashville. Their show includes door prizes, raffles, both food, and beer (often from local micro breweries). Many of the dates/locations for this year’s tour are yet to be posted. But it looks like one of their first stops will be in Asheville, NC, on Feb. 23rd. Check out the Orvis Website for more info in order to see if the festival will be coming to your area. Check your local Orvis Facebook page on the regular. I already have confirmation that they will be stopping in Denver this year with the dates yet to be announced, so keep an eye out! I will update you guys as more dates are posted.
